UTC Plymouth Uniform
Professional Image
At UTC Plymouth, staff and students wear our uniform with pride. We have many options to suit individual styles and preferences and we are always adding optional extras designed by our students. Our uniform is smart, versatile and suitable for all aspects of our curriculum. We have specific coloured tops for different key stages in order to provide a strong sense of identity: KS3 students wear royal blue, KS4 students wear grey, Sixth form wear navy and staff wear black. All uniform items can be ordered through our supplier: Westcountry Embroidery SW.
Please note: Combat trousers, combat shorts and steel toe cap shoes/boots can be sourced from other suppliers.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
All students are expected to wear UTC Plymouth uniform and PPE for all practical STEAM workshop and science lessons. Staff members will provide further details and health and safety guidance. Lab coats are provided by UTC Plymouth, however there is an option to buy your own.
Compulsory: Steel Toe capped boots/shoes MUST be worn for practical lessons in the workshops.
Recommended: Overalls or coveralls are needed for particular practical lessons each week. We can provide these for students however we recommend that students purchase their own for hygiene reasons.
